Aquaculture

Maintaining the desired constant DO levels is critical to the success of aquaculture operation. Due to a whole host of problems, such as weather, mechanical and electrical failures, overfeeding, water quality, etc., DO levels can drop significantly and with that goes pond health. Therefore, aquaculture is an excellent industry for SuperOx. The integrated water restructuring technologies significantly enhance the growing capabilities of the aquatic life forms found in this industry. SuperOx has the potential to increase production by providing higher survival rates and better food conversion ratio in a superior aquatic environment.

Shrimp and fish farms require enormous amounts of oxygen as their crops mature and become larger. An entire pond full of mature shrimp can be lost in one night if the oxygen level is allowed to drop below 1 ppm for a prolonged period of time. This loss in dollars could be $20,000-to-$40,000 in one pond in one night. By maintaining the oxygen levels near saturation, the aquatic life in the ponds has an abundance of oxygen and will eat more over a longer period of the day. This will allow the stock to reach the selling weight in less time and at less cost per pound.

The combined technologies enhance the growing capabilities of the aquatic life forms found in this industry. SuperOx has the potential to increase production by providing higher survival rates and better food conversion ratio in a superior aquatic environment.

Shrimp and fish farms require enormous amounts of oxygen to support the health of each aquatic species for them to fully mature and become larger. An entire pond full of mature shrimp can be lost in one night if the DO is allowed to drop below 1 ppm. This loss in dollars could be $20,000 and more per pond in one night.

By maintaining stable and constant DO, the aquatic life in ponds will remain healthy as they are able to eat more on a consistent basis over a longer period of the day. This will allow the stock to reach the selling weight in less time and at less cost per pound.

Certain integral components of the SuperOx system – not the current complete system – have been successfully demonstrated on shrimp farms achieving a 35% increase in yield, as well as larger than average size. Also, this was accomplished in 20% less time than normal.

H2O Unlimited will soon schedule controlled pilot studies at one of the largest redfish farms in the country and at a Texas state fish hatchery.
